Mircon's MX500 SSD: 64 layers of 3D TLC NAND

Micron has officially released its Crucial MX500 series SSD, which features 64 layers of 3D TLC NAND.

In terms of specs, the MX500 series has a maximum capacity of 2TB and the main control chip is Silicon Motion's SM2258, and the official says it is adapted to the latest version of the firmware.

In terms of performance, continuous reading and writing speed can reach 510MB/s, 4K random reading speed is 95K IOPS, and random write speed is 90K IOPS.

On the interface side, the MX500 series adopts SATAIII, providing 2.5 inch and m. 2 versions, with the maximum capacity of 2TB and the maximum capacity of 1TB.
TLC NAND is concerned about life expectancy. The foreign media Tom's Hardware has already obtained this SSD, and the test found that the 25/500gb version of the data can be found to be 100/180tbw, 1TB and 2TB, which is 36/700tbw.

In terms of price, there is no official release on the price of each version, but the 1TB version has already been sold overseas, priced at $259.99.
